We had a new central heating system installed in Sept/Oct 2007. They ripped the old one out (well left it under the floorboards except for a 20cm high pipe capped off in a wardrobe which was the water supply to the now-gone tank.

When we returned from honeymoon in mid-Oct 2007 we noticed that the flue was leaking onto a new radiator and had stained it rusty and reported to UKHomeHeating. And again. And again. And again. Until in mid-December they sent a local subcontracted engineer round who looked at it. Called it bloody awful and said he would get UKHomeHeating to send another flue to be fitted. Which they didn't

So I rang. And rang. And rang. And rang. Numerous times. I threatened them with Trading Standards and CORGI.

So avoid.

CORGI are coming next week (if the wife doesn't go into labour first) and then hopefully that will be the end of the matter. Or else it is to Small Claims Court.

Slight update. Wife went into labour yesterday and gave birth to a little girl.

CORGI came today. Condemned UKHomeHeating's handiwork and isolated the gas.

So I have a baby, one day old and no central heating.

They were recommended. They are "brokers" for local companies so what was actually recommended was the local engineer. The CORGI guy was absolutely fantastic and the original engineer is coming back tomorrow.

Can't thank CORGI enough though. Where I have failed in the last five months, they have succeeded in two hours.

SHARPS were double price but you get what you pay for! No wonder they're closing.Terrible customer service.
