Have you paid for a one megabyte or a two megabyte connection? Are you considering switching providers because you want a package which offers you up to 8 megabytes? Have you noticed that British Telecom are planning to offer up to 24 megabyte speeds from 2008 and one or two small providers already offering this now? What do "up to" speeds really mean? Are you getting what you have paid for?A recent Which? survey reported at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6924866.stm shows that most people get very much less than the maximum advertised broadband speeds and some broadband suppliers are even being investigated by the Advertising Standards Agency.
